At Kingswood as part of our criteria we must follow the regulations set by the early years foundation stage also known as EYFS. We work side by side with EYFS to provide childcare that follows the following criteria whereby:
We work very closely with parents where we discuss your Child’s progress and we keep you up to date with your child’s attainment, Children all learn through a stimulating environment designed for your child to have fun whilst learning at the same time.
We use a termly tracking system to help your child maximise their potential that follows three Main areas:
- Communication and language
- Personal, social and emotional
- Physical development
The tracking system also focuses on development in some specific areas:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding of the world
- Expressive art and design
Kingswood believes outdoor play is a crucial part of a child’s development. Throughout Kingswood’s locations we have ensured outdoor play is available because we know that theres nothing children love more than getting some fresh air. Our spacious outdoor areas allow us to include various activates to constantly engage children. From walking beams to mud kitchens, we are always working to keep your child engaged
Here at Kingswood we understand that parents want their child to develop long lasting and genuine relationships. We love to see friendships develop at our nursery and hope they can continue for years to come. We support our children throughout their Kingswood journey from when they crawl into our babies room until they leave for school, we try and help them to develop their full potential.
Nutrition: We believe that good quality fresh food, locally sourced, is important to supplement the health and well-being of the children that we care for. We encourage children to eat fresh fruit and vegetables (as appropriate for the age of the child) during snack time. We take particular care with children that have special dietary needs including food allergies and intolerances. As a nursery we use a catering company called Zebedees. Our menu provides a variety of food for your children to enjoy.
